<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If your tables suddenly disappear from the <strong>WP Table Builder dashboard</strong>, it may look like all your tables are gone. In most cases, this happens because the <strong>WordPress REST API is blocked by a security plugin</strong>.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In this guide, we will show you how to quickly identify and fix the issue.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What the Problem Looks Like</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When this issue occurs, you may notice the following:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>The <strong>Table List shows “No results found.”</strong></li>

<li>Your tables are not visible in <strong>WP Table Builder → All Tables</strong></li>

<li>You see the message:</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>“Something went wrong! Please reload the page!”</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even though the tables still exist in your database, they cannot load in the dashboard because the plugin cannot access the REST API.</p>

<div class="wp-block-ub-divider ub_divider ub-divider-orientation-horizontal" id="ub_divider_87cec584-b62d-4667-a611-afe1db3c869e"><div class="ub_divider_wrapper" style="position: relative; margin-bottom: 2px; width: 100%; height: 2px; " data-divider-alignment="center"><div class="ub_divider_line" style="border-top: 2px solid #ccc; margin-top: 2px; "></div></div></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why This Happens</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">WordPress plugins often use the <strong>REST API (<code>wp-json</code>)</strong> to load and manage data in the admin dashboard.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">WP Table Builder uses this API to display the list of tables.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">However, some security plugins block the REST API for protection. When that happens, WP Table Builder cannot retrieve the table data, and the dashboard appears empty.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For example, one user reported that <strong>WP Cerber Security blocked the <code>wp-json</code> endpoint</strong>, which caused all tables to disappear from the dashboard.</p>

<div class="wp-block-ub-divider ub_divider ub-divider-orientation-horizontal" id="ub_divider_8d21f2f2-0fd8-4a66-89f0-cccd269e47c7"><div class="ub_divider_wrapper" style="position: relative; margin-bottom: 2px; width: 100%; height: 2px; " data-divider-alignment="center"><div class="ub_divider_line" style="border-top: 2px solid #ccc; margin-top: 2px; "></div></div></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Fix the Issue</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Follow these steps to resolve the problem.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Step 1: Temporarily Disable Your Security Plugin</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Go to:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>WordPress Dashboard → Plugins</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Temporarily deactivate your security plugin.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Step 2: Reload the WP Table Builder Page</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Go to:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>WP Table Builder → All Tables</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If your tables appear again, the issue is caused by the security plugin blocking the REST API.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Step 3: Allow the REST API</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Open your security plugin settings and allow access to the <strong><code>wp-json</code> endpoint</strong>.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Many security plugins have options such as:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>REST API access</li>

<li>API protection</li>

<li>Blocking JSON endpoints</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Make sure these settings allow WordPress plugins to access the REST API.</p>

<div class="wp-block-ub-divider ub_divider ub-divider-orientation-horizontal" id="ub_divider_ca57510c-3d0d-47f3-8614-5b7b9b3c7f0d"><div class="ub_divider_wrapper" style="position: relative; margin-bottom: 2px; width: 100%; height: 2px; " data-divider-alignment="center"><div class="ub_divider_line" style="border-top: 2px solid #ccc; margin-top: 2px; "></div></div></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Important Note</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Your tables are <strong>not deleted</strong> when this issue occurs. They are still stored in the database — they simply cannot load in the dashboard until the REST API is accessible again.</p>
